POS means the place money changes hands: the counter. There is only one test here — how fast a bill gets made when there is a queue, and what happens when the line drops.

Making the bill

Scan a barcode and the item lands; type a name if there is none. VAT and discount apply per line or to the whole bill.

A small thermal slip or a full A4 invoice — whichever the shop has. Every bill carries its own sequential number, and billing from several devices never tangles the numbering.

When the line drops

Most cloud tills either stop or make you wait. Gonok writes to the device first, so a lost connection in the middle of a rush does not stop the billing. Everything settles itself when the connection returns.

After the bill

A bill is not the end of the work. Stock falls, anything unpaid lands on the customer, profit is worked out on real cost, and the day total moves — none of it written a second time.
