IMEI and serials

Each handset or device is held by its own number. Which unit was sold is recorded, so any number searched later brings back the whole history.

Warranty and servicing

When a customer returns, one search says whether it is covered. Opening a claim, giving a replacement, sending it back to the supplier — each step recorded. Parts used on a service job come out of stock.

Accessories

Headphones, cables, covers — things that sell by the count need no serial. Both kinds live in the same shop.
