The credit book

Credit is a shop's biggest risk and its untidiest ledger. In Gonok credit is not a separate list — it comes out of the bill, and payments settle against the bills they belong to.

Customer credit

When a bill is not paid in full the balance lands on the customer by itself. Collect it in as many small payments as you like; which bill each payment settled is recorded.

What you owe suppliers

What you are owed and what you owe, in the same place. It reminds you before a bill falls due, so a payment does not slip.

Lenders and borrowers

Borrowing and lending outside the shop counts too — who you took money from, who you lent to, how much has come back. Each with its own ledger, and each landing correctly in the day's accounts.

Questions

If I change my phone, do the dues survive?
Yes. Everything reaches the server when there is a connection, and signing in on a new device brings it back.
Can staff write off a debt?
You decide what each person can do; an owner's job stays behind the owner's PIN.
